What’s my story?
Thirty years ago, I took my first nutrition course and became a certified personal trainer. While I loved working out, I quickly realized my passion wasn’t in training others—it was in the nutrition side of health. Early on, I worked with clients of all ages, focusing on the ‘calories in, calories out’ model that was popular at the time. Like many, I thought this was the only way to help people lose weight. But something always felt incomplete.
This realization was deeply personal. From the age of 15, I suffered from a range of chronic health problems—sinus issues, joint pain, digestive troubles, hypersomnia, social anxiety, acne, and more. My symptoms were persistent and debilitating, and despite seeing numerous doctors, not a single issue improved. I assumed this was just how life would be.
Then, my health took a dramatic turn for the worse. I began experiencing neurological symptoms, including temporary vision loss. It was terrifying, and when doctors dismissed my concerns, I felt hopeless. Out of sheer desperation, I sought out a naturopath. For the first time, someone truly listened and worked to uncover the root causes of my issues. Through detailed assessments and personalized dietary recommendations, I started to heal. This experience was life-changing. By addressing the foundations of health—nutrition, movement, and rest—I regained a level of wellness I hadn’t felt since childhood.
Inspired by my transformation, I returned to school to deepen my knowledge. In 2008, I graduated as a certified health coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, a program affiliated with Columbia University. This gave me a strong foundation in holistic health and a deeper understanding of how to create lasting change for my clients. I didn’t stop there. I pursued additional certifications in digestive health and completed Harvard University’s Plant-Based Health and Wellness program, which focused on designing sustainable nutrition strategies backed by the latest science. Along the way, I also completed individual courses on topics like vitamin D/sunlight, and the intricate connections between food and overall health.
With this knowledge and my personal experiences, I found my calling: helping women build a strong foundation of health. I now focus on empowering women 40+ to reclaim their energy, improve their quality of life, and reach their health goals. My approach is simple yet effective—address the root causes of health issues rather than chasing symptoms. Through balanced nutrition, mindful movement, and prioritizing rest, I help women achieve lasting success.
Education is the cornerstone of my work. I continue to study and evolve, staying updated on the latest research to better serve my clients. I believe that a healthier world is a happier world, and it’s my mission to contribute to that by helping women live their healthiest, most vibrant lives.
